My Dose Coach is a simple digital dosing platform that supports you with insulin dosing if you have type 2 diabetes and your physician wants you to start, switch, or continue using once daily long-acting basal insulin. Each day, you automatically get basal insulin dose recommendations that help you determine the insulin dose that is appropriate for you based on your personal dose plan prescribed by your healthcare team.1 Adjusting your insulin doses, staying on track and working towards your target fasting blood glucose level has never been easier.

The My Dose Coach app is a user-friendly way to safely and effectively adjust your basal insulin dose.1‒4 To get a dose suggestion, all you need to do is enter your fasting blood glucose level, any low blood glucose events and your current insulin dose.

To calculate your appropriate insulin dose, My Dose Coach simply uses the data entered by you and the set dose plan provided by your healthcare team.

How can I set up the My Dose Coach app?

As soon as your healthcare team has prescribed and set up your individual dose plan in the My Dose Coach web portal, they will provide a link in a text message that will be sent to your mobile device. Download the My Dose Coach app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, click on the link, fill out the login screen and activate your dose plan. By entering your personal details, the platform makes sure the correct plan has been uploaded to your My Dose Coach app.5 Your personalized basal insulin dosing tool is now ready to use!

  • My Dose Coach is a digital dosing platform designed to simplify the process of adjusting your daily dose of long-acting basal insulin so you and your healthcare team can work towards your blood glucose targets. Automatic dose recommendations are based on a personalized dose plan prescribed and pre-set by your healthcare team and support you to safely adjust your insulin dose in between clinic visits. Through the platform, your healthcare team can manage, monitor, update and follow-up with your dose plan.
  • My Dose Coach App set up
    • As soon as your individual dose plan has been prescribed and set up by your healthcare team in the My Dose Coach web portal, you can activate the plan in the My Dose Coach app on your mobile device. Fasting blood glucose, low blood glucose events and insulin dose data can be monitored by your healthcare team in the My Dose Coach web portal at any time so that your dose plan can be modified.
  • Dose suggestions
    • After your healthcare team has prescribed and set up your individual dose plan and you have been trained on using the My Dose Coach app, you can start using the dose suggestion feature. To get the first insulin dose suggestion, you need to record your first fasting blood glucose on the morning you begin the dose plan, which will be followed by the first insulin dose suggestion on the same day.
    • The My Dose Coach app will continue to make daily basal insulin dose suggestions based on, and adjusted to, your most recent fasting blood glucose reading, current insulin dose, and occurrence of any low blood glucose events.
    • Your healthcare team can monitor all the data entered in the app and modify your dose plan. The My Dose Coach app and web portal are synchronized in real time.
  • My Dose Coach can help you if you have type 2 diabetes and are starting on or switching to once daily long-acting basal insulin. My Dose Coach is also suitable for you when you are already on a once daily long-acting basal insulin titration regimen but have not yet reached your target fasting blood glucose level.
  • My Dose Coach is not intended for you if you have been prescribed rapid acting or premix insulin. My Dose Coach is also not intended for use by women with gestational diabetes or people with type 1 diabetes.
  • My Dose Coach is not intended to replace any care or advice provided by your healthcare team. When you have been prescribed My Dose Coach you are advised to contact your healthcare team if you have any questions or concerns about your treatment plan.
  • My Dose Coach is equipped with programmable support features, enabling you to safely and more actively manage your insulin treatment with guidance from your healthcare team.
  • A safety message in the My Dose Coach app prompts you to confirm your fasting blood glucose value and insulin dose taken before validating the insulin dose.
  • My Dose Coach incorporates pre-set thresholds for low blood glucose (hypoglycemia) and provides you with clear instructions on next steps to take. The My Dose Coach app also includes an emergency number for your clinic in case assistance with the treatment regimen is required.
  • To enter your fasting blood glucose reading, a blood glucose meter is needed. Sanofi offers MyStar Extra® and MyStar Plus® blood glucose meters to support in measuring your blood glucose data [subject to local availability].
